Butter-braised Broccoli

It doesn't get any easier to make a side dish than this recipe for Butter-braised Broccoli. You can use frozen, fresh or broccoli in a bag! Either way it comes out tasty, simple and delicious.

Equipment

  • Sauce Pan or Skillet
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh broccoli, frozen broccoli, broccoli in a bag Whatever you have available
  • 1/2 cup water (to steam broccoli)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tbsp salted butter

Instructions

  • In a sauce pan, add 1/2 cup of water, and broccoli. Cover and bring to a simmer.
  • Once broccoli is simmering, add 4 ounces of butter and salt. Let butter melt over the broccoli and simmer for about 5 more minutes.
  • Gently toss/stir the broccoli and serve.
