Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground, lean, turkey meat
  • 1 onion grated (or 1 teaspoon onion powder)
  • 1 clove garlic grated (or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons coconut aminos

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, onions, garlic, coconut aminos
  • Add bread crumbs and egg and combine thoroughly into the meat mixture
  • Divide the mixture into four equal parts
  • Form into 4 equal sized patties. Preheat your oven to 400F degrees
  • On a baking sheet, add aluminum foil and spray with nonstick spray. Place your turkey burgers onto the baking sheet and put in the oven.
  • Cook on one side for 7.5 minutes. Pull out the burgers and flip them to the other side. Cook for another 7.5 minutes until meat is cooked through.
  • Leave plain and serve on a plate without a bun for the lowest caloric intake possible. However, if you prefer, add some cheese of your choice and put onto a bun and top with your favorite condiments. If you can find Dietz and Watson white cheddar steakhouse onion cheese, it compliments the turkey perfectly.
