About Me

My name is Rob Pruzinsky and I love to cook! Even more so, my wife Suzanne and I love to eat what I cook! I come from a family that is rich with tradition when it comes to food, holiday celebrations and family get togethers!

I was born in the early 1960’s in Cleveland, Ohio. A city diverse in cultures and different ethnic backgrounds. My ethnic background is unique, but definitely one that leans more on the Slavic side. Both my mom and dad had parents (or grandparents) from Slovakia but as my grandparents migrated to the United States (the melting pot of the world) they married other nationalities. On my mom’s side I am Slovak, Irish and Swiss. On my dad’s side, Slovak and Austrian. My Irish/Swiss grandmother, Goldie, owned and operated two family style restaurants in the city. Her first one was on the east side of Cleveland and the second on the west side of Cleveland. This was back in the 1950s ad 1960s but I’m so glad that she made sure we knew her secret recipes! One thing that she always told me and, something that I do believe, is that people can taste “The Love” that you put into your meals.

These recipes I have on my site are your templates (some of them passed down by generations in my family). You can find those recipes under “Grandma Insky’s Corner.” The other recipes are easy meals and other tips all categorized and archived to help with your meal planning.

DON’T FORGET!! If you add your “love” to the meal, your family members will enjoy it even more, because you made it for them! So join us and try some of these unique and interesting dishes!
