Home Made Vanilla Ice Cream
This is a very simple version of making Vanilla Ice Cream at home. We have a Kitchen Aid Ice Cream Maker/Attachment but you can also use this recipe with any Ice Cream Maker or even make it with out one. The process of making it without an ice cream maker does take a bit longer, but it still comes out very good. All you have to do is pour the mixture into a freezable container and after 30 minutes, stir the mixture and put back in the freezer. Pull out every 30 minutes and do the same until you get to a soft serve consistency. Once you are to that point you can let it freeze the rest of the way.

Ice Cream Maker
Mixing Bowl
Measuring Cups
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- pinch of Salt
- 2 tbsp Vanilla
In a mixing bowl combine 1 cup of sugar, 2 cups heavy cream, 2 cups of whole milk, pinch of salt and 2 tbsps of vanilla until the sugar is completely dissolved.
NOTE: Make sure that your ice cream maker is as cold as possible. For the Kitchen Aid attachment, make sure to set this in the refrigerator at least 15 hours prior to making your ice cream.
Pour your mixture into the ice cream maker and churn for at least 20 minutes. If using the Kitchen Aid Ice Cream Maker, make sure that your machine is turned on to "STIR" and nothing faster, otherwise your Ice Cream will over churn.
After 20 minutes, your ice cream should be at a "soft serve" consistency. Help yourself to a bowl at this point or empty the contents into your freezable container and freeze until your ready to eat.
Enjoy this wonderful treat!
